S. V. Nathan is the Talent Director for Deloitte U.S. Firms in India, with over 26 years of professional experience in Human Resource management, and working across businesses such as Manufacturing, Services, Telecom and Information Technology, Nathan has led many teams of young professionals in both multinationals as well as Indian entrepreneurial organizations, while building small and large format organizations, almost from scratch. At Deloitte, besides implementing state-of-art HR processes, and focusing on acquiring and growing Talent, he has enhanced the overall performance of the HR function and instilled a sense of pride and professionalism amongst them.
Apart from his responsibilities in Deloitte, Nathan serves as a Fellow at Sumedhas, a not-for-profit education and research body on organization development. He is a well-known speaker at national and international seminars on contemporary Talent matters, and is also acknowledged as a good teacher within the fraternity. In addition to this, Nathan is also a Behavioral Specialist trained in sensitivity training.
Nathan was conferred the prestigious honor of "HR Manager of the Year" by the Hyderabad Management Association in 2009, and was selected as the "HR Person of the Year" by the Asia Pacific Congress for HR in 2008. Nathan is also the president of the Hyderabad chapter of the National Human Resource Development Network (NHRD), and is an active member of the distinguished WILL Mentoring Council of the "Forum for Women in Leadership" in India. The council works towards leveraging the vast talent pool of women and sharing best practices for women in the workplace.
Nathan graduated in Mathematics with a Gold medal and was a topper at XLRI, India's prestigious Business and Personnel Management Institute. He lives in Hyderabad with his wife and two sons. He is fond of reading and writing, and enjoys cooking for family and friends.
